Carbon Live Fire Mexican Grill

I love this place, their deep fried tortilla burrito bowls are to die for! I moved to the neighborhood 8 months ago, and carbon is the place that I get food from the most often! I always get the fish burrito bowl, with cabbage instead of lettuce, with guacamole. The smokey red sauce is insane, I wish they'd give me a whole bucket of that stuff, I wanna put it on everything. It's super affordable too, I am so tempted to eat here all the time. I highly recommend this place. :)

Carbon, conveniently located just two blocks from my apartment, has proven to be a noteworthy spot for taco enthusiasts. My initial encounter with the front house staff left much to be desired, but the quality of their food is what keeps me coming back. A few months ago, I walked in with high hopes for a satisfying taco meal, only to be met with a less-than-welcoming vibe from the front house. The staff, particularly the girls at the front, were far from friendly or accommodating, making me reconsider dining there at the time. However, my opinion changed drastically a few weeks later when a co-worker surprised me with two steak tacos from Carbon. Those tacos were a revelation. They were generously filled with tender steak, fresh cilantro, and onions. The flavor was exceptional, and the packaging ensured they arrived still warm. My co-worker also brought a side of rice and a substantial portion of salsa verde, both of which perfectly complemented the tacos. The quality and taste of the food were so impressive that I've decided to make Carbon my go-to spot for tacos. I genuinely appreciate the quality of their offerings and would recommend them to others without hesitation. Unfortunately, I must mention that my attempts to dine in person at Carbon were met with the same disappointing front house service. It's disheartening that such excellent food is overshadowed by lackluster service. If the front house staff is consistently unenthusiastic or unfriendly, it may be worth considering a change. In summary, Carbon deserves a solid 5/5 for their delectable tacos. The taste and quality are outstanding. However, the front house staff's service still leaves much to be desired, earning them a 1/5 rating. I hope that improvements can be made in this area to make the overall dining experience at Carbon truly exceptional.

Very disappointed, steak burrito too small, dry. It has only onions and cilantro, no cheese no beans or anything besides meat that i spit out one forth of it was full of tendons. Paid $14 and i was still hungry. I normally go to Los Comals but i wanted to try new place and it was a mistake. I am going to stick with Comales burrito much better and has alot of stuff and only cost $8. First and last time i go to this restaurant.
